PARISHarts Update Week of September 3

PARISHarts Update Week of September 3

PARISHarts alumni comes back to the dance studio to teach Parish Dance Company choreography!

In the arts, we have the pleasure of creating long lasting relationships with our students and for that reason, we get a lot of returning alumni. Last week, we had Brianna Marcus ’18 return to the Parish Dance Studio to teach the current Parish Dance Company students some choreography. Brianna was both Dance Company Captain and Rosettes Captain her senior year here so it was great to have her back in the studio!

The Speech and Debate Team attended their first tournaments of the year last weekend. Ananya Ganeriwalla ’20 competed in both the Plano Senior High and Clark High School tournaments. She made it to finals in both and placed 5th at Plano and 6th at Clark. Congratulations to Sam Pietsch, Parish Speech and Debate Coach and Ananya for a great weekend! Next they’re on to Grapevine.

We have seen the same The Arts People (TAP, the booster club for the arts at Parish) logo for many years now and it has served them so very well, but they felt it was time for a refresh. This year, under the new TAP leadership and in particular Parish parent, Marla Buskin, they have created new branding that is closely aligned with the school branding but still has an artistic flair!

Big thank you to Marla Buskin for her work on this! You will be seeing this new logo around lots of places.
