The Parish Boots & Bling Gala will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. Owner of the winning raffle ticket will receive Parish’s Fiat 124 Spider convertible. No cash reimbursement or refund of any kind will be offered. Winner, at their discretion, may choose to pick another car offered by Metroplex Auto and pay any difference in price at that time. Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes, title and license fees.
Gloria, or "Glo," as she was known to many, was an active parishioner of Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration for more than 40 years. Among other activities she was a long time member of the altar guild, usher team and a regular reader at church services.
Gloria joined Parish Day School as Head of School in 1980 and served the Parish Episcopal School community until 2009 when she retired. Under her leadership, she guided Parish from the "little church school on the corner" to the PreK – 12th grade independent school that we are so fond of today.
During the expansion of Parish and the addition of the Midway campus, Parish nearly tripled in size under Gloria's leadership. However, her desire in growing the School to become a competitive, educational institution for students in the Dallas area never overshadowed her priority for the School to remain true to its core of nurturing and teaching kids under the banner of Wisdom, Honor and Service. No matter the accomplishment, her wish for the School was always that we'd "still have the same culture and the same climate" as the Hillcrest campus where she dedicated her energy to its students and families for 21 years before expanding.
The Parish Gala was always an important event to Gloria as it brought our community together each year in celebration of our achievements, and helped to raise funds towards future endeavors at our school.
This year we will honor Gloria at the Gala with a special tribute you won’t want to miss.

What is Parish Gala?
With the help of many parent volunteers, the Parish Parents Association hosts an event each Spring where our community comes together to raise important funds for Parish Episcopal School. The event changes every year with various themes and locations, but Parish Gala is always a wonderful evening of dinner, entertainment, dancing and fellowship all while supporting our amazing school. This year’s Gala will be held on Saturday, February 23rdat the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. Dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for an evening under the Texas stars! Guests will enjoy drinks & dinner, casino, silent & live auction and music provided by The Project Band.
How much are Gala tickets?
Individual tickets go on sale in January and are $195 per person. Table sponsorships start at $3000 for a table of 10 people. You can view table sponsorship levels and benefits on the Gala website, www.parishepiscopal.org/gala2019.
What do I wear to Gala?
Attire for the Parish Boots & Bling Gala is Cowboy Chic. Cowboy boots are festive, but optional, and blue jeans are just fine!
What is a Patron Couple ticket?
A “Bluebonnet” Patron Couple ticket is $550 for two people. This ticket level gets you priority seating without having to commit to a whole table sponsorship. When you purchase Patron Couple tickets online, just type in the comments who you would like to sit with (for example, “Susan and Bill Jones” or “Other 3rdGrade families”) and our committee will do their best to honor your seating requests.

Great! We can make sure you do! Our Table Sales Committee helps coordinate grade-level tables. The committee has representatives from each school division. When you purchase your ticket, put what grade you would like to sit with in the notes section and these ladies will take it from there.

Parish Bingo– The Gala committee is hosting our 3rdAnnual Parish Bingo Night on Friday, January 25th. The purpose of Bingo Night is to kick-off our exciting countdown to Gala. It’s an adults-only evening of bingo, dinner and drinks and tickets to attend may be purchased online for $50.
Parish with Love– Online auction onlyfrom January 27th– February 3rd. Parish with Love is a special Gala tradition made possible by the amazing Faculty and Staff at Parish. Would your child like to be “Head of School for the Day”? Anxious to sit in the front row at the Christmas program? Want to run football drills with Coach Novakov? There are 100+ amazing experiences to choose from!
Raffle Tickets– Parish Gala has partnered with Metroplex Auto for one of our most exciting Raffle prizes yet! Purchase raffle tickets on the Gala website for a chance to win a 2019 Fiat Spiderconvertible! One ticket for $100, or 6 tickets for $500. You do not have to be present at Gala to win.
Silent Auction & Big Board– Silent Auction and Big Board items will be available for online bidding prior to Gala. Starting February 17th, you will be able to get a sneak peek at auction items and start your bidding. The auction will close the night of Gala on the 23rd. Our amazing Gala Auction Committee has procured over 150 auction items for you to bid on. Great gift certificates, jewelry, home items and services…be sure and check it out! Big Board is part of the online auction, and is also on display the night of Gala. Big Board packages consist of unique Dallas experiences, sports tickets, vacation homes and so much more!
