Parishextend Dance academy
ParishEXTEND Dance Academy is proud to offer more than 20 dance classes for different skill levels. Each level progresses upon each other in a pyramid fashion, leaving no gaps in the dancer's education. Each class level is structured to be developmentally appropriate. Students who fall below the grade levels listed may enroll in a higher level class with permission from the instructor. If you have questions or are a new student, please contact Jessica Robinson so that we may find the best level for your skill set.
Although we may suggest various classes to dancers, we do understand that students and parents may choose not to follow our recommendations. If this is the case, please make the staff aware of your situation, and we will gladly accommodate.

Q. Does dance last the full school year?
A. Yes, ParishEXTEND Dance Academy courses are a fall and spring commitment. If you enroll in the fall, you do not need to re-enroll for the spring. Select classes do not fall into this category and are designated as such in their description.
Q. Will there be a dance informational meeting?
A. There is a dance informational meeting on September 6 at 5pm at Midway. Please contact Jessica Robinson with any questions.
Q. What does my child need to wear to dance?
A. Dance attire varies by class and by age group. Those in PreK and Kindergarten do not change and will wear their uniforms to class. All other dancers will need to reference the dance handbook for specific attire requirements. Handbooks will be distributed at the dance informational meeting on September 6 and will be available via the web for download. Q. Is there an end of year performance?
A. There is an end of year performance on Saturday, May 5 in the GPAC at 10:00am. Rehearsal will be held the day before the performance. Year-round classes that will participate in the performance have a costume fee factored into their class price. Classes that will not perform are designated as such in their description.
Q. Is it mandatory that my child participate in the recital? A. The dance performance is optional. Please communicate with Jessica Robinson should your child choose not to participate.
Q. Dance is a yearlong program, do I need to pay all at once?
A. Most dance classes are a yearlong commitment, but you can pay for classes month to month with a recurring payment plan setup through your ParishEXTEND account. Volume discounts are available for dance classes and will factor into your purchase automatically. These discounts range from 7.5% when your dance total exceeds $1250 to 20% when your total exceeds $4250.
Q. Which classes should I enroll in? A. Please reference the dance evaluation that was given to your child at the end of the school year. If you are new to Parish or have questions, please email Jessica Robinson.
Q. What if the level I select is not challenging enough or is too advanced? A. Contact Jessica Robinson to make adjustments before the end of the Fall season.
