The arts were everywhere during the Parish Arts Showcase on April 25, at the Midway campus. This was the third year for the popular school event which featured the talents of Parish students in various grades. All types of disciplines could be seen throughout the Great Hall including 2D & 3D art, photography, sketches, puppets, paintings, a printmaking demonstration and ceramics. There were plenty of live performances featuring dance, Rosettes, band, choir, jazz, Parish Drumline, Essential Standards and Coffee House musicians. Film, debate and theatre students played a role in the fun evening as well. The Parish community also had the opportunity to view the AP Art show in the Jonsson Gallery, participate in a scavenger hunt and munch on savory and sweet treats. The Arts People (TAP) booster club helped organize and plan the event. Volunteers spent many hours hanging all of the artwork and installations, setting up booths and guiding visitors to performances. For many, the showcase has become a favorite annual event and a way to mark the end of another creative year in the arts.
