Golf
On April 10-11, Parish Varsity Golf played in the TAPPS Regional Golf Tournament at Sherrill Park Golf Course. Ben Campbell '18 and Blake Eisenberg '19 had a great first day with 80 and 83 respectively, in quite chilly temperatures. It was extremely windy all day during the final round and the team did not fare so well. However, several players shaved off many strokes during their final round: William Boisture '18 shaved off 15 strokes, Blake Willis '20 shaved off 10 strokes, Mason Wilderom '20, Ashley Siddons '19, Elizabeth Walsh '20 all shaved off eight, and Rebekah Coleman '18 shaved off seven strokes.  The Panther golf team says goodbye to four seniors, and the rest of the team looks toward next season.

Tennis
On April 9, JV Tennis traveled to John Paul II High School for the last match of the season. It was a tough day on the courts as JPII was the strongest opponent the team has had to face this year. Everyone fought until the end and had positive attitudes. Hats off to girls' line one doubles, Claudia Held '20 and Maggie Bienko '20, who won both of their matches of the evening. The girls pulled out their first one 8-6 and the second was even closer, with a 9-7 victory. Boys' doubles line three, Davis Christon '19 and Ryan Mortazavi '19 came out strong in the last match of the evening and enjoyed having the team cheer them onto victory. Both Held and Bienko as well as Christon and Mortazavi had an undefeated season! We can't believe it's already over but it was a great tennis season!

Girls' and Boys' Varsity Tennis hosted ESD for a scrimmage at UT-Dallas on April 12. It was the Panthers' last team match for the season. All players competed and several Panther players played more than one match. The players were evenly matched up and had competitive matches. The scrimmage was good practice for our State qualifiers who moved on to the State Tournament in Waco on April 16 and 17. Those players are Kate Musselman '19, Dani Perales '19, Jad Charif '18, Alex Olmedo '18, and Chase Barclay '20. Overall, the Panthers had a great season and look forward to wrapping it all up at State followed by the Parish Tennis Classic hosted by the Varsity and JV teams on Saturday, April 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at UT-Dallas.
