On Friday, March 2, Parish Girls Basketball Varsity team traveled to Waco to play in their Final Four game against their district rival Prestonwood Christian Academy. Panthers were triumphant and beat Prestonwood 48-45 advancing to the State Finals that were held the next day in West, Texas. On Saturday, March 3 the Panthers faced Bishop Lynch for the rematch of the last year’s State Championship game. This time the small but mighty Panther team beat Bishop Lynch 61-56 and swiped the State Championship title held by Bishop Lynch for 25 years over the history of their program.

On Friday, March 2, Parish Boys Basketball Varsity team travelled to Waco to play in their first Final Four in the history of the Parish Boys Basketball program against Houston St. Pius X High School. The boys played well but fell to the opponent 64-68. Kadon Lewis ’18 and Luke Brumbaugh ’18 were named to the All-Tournament team. The Boys Basketball Varsity team had an outstanding season. Congratulations Panthers!
The Panthers JV Baseball team faced Southwest Christian in Fort Worth on Monday, February 26. Parish played well but ended up losing the game 6-2. Hayden Goldberg ’19 and Ryan Michlewicz ’20 each pitched for the Panthers. Goldberg went 2 and 2/3 innings and collected four strikeouts. Michlewicz pitched 2 and 1/3 innings and collected three strikeouts. Aaron Tidmore ’20 and Calvin Williams ’21 each had hits in the game.
On March 2-3, Parish Baseball Varsity played in the Bryan Martin Tournament. They went undefeated scoring 15 runs total and did not allow any runs against them. On Friday, in their first game of the tournament, the Panthers defeated Dallas Lutheran 11-0 at Hillcrest HS. Tyler Hamilton ’19 and Michlewicz combined on the mound for the shutout. Hamilton earned the win on the mound as he went three complete innings allowing no runs on one hit and had eight strikeouts. Michlewicz came in and threw one inning of scoreless relief out of the bullpen to complete the game. Will Velvin ’18 and Cole Tidmore ’18 each made multiple hits in the game. Velvin was three for three with three RBI at the plate and led the Panthers offensively. Parish was solid in the field and did not commit a single error.
On Saturday, in their second game of the tournament Parish defeated Hillcrest HS at Hillcrest 4-0. The Panthers were solid on the mound, led by C. Tidmore. He pitched five complete innings allowing no runs on three hits and had five strikeouts. Velvin stayed hot at the plate. Velvin was 2-2 in the game with two RBI. C. Tidmore and Velvin each collected two hits in the game to lead the Panthers offensively.
On Monday, February 26, Parish Varsity Golf played in the Jesuit Invitational Golf Tournament at Brookhaven Country Club. Boys Varsity finished in 18th place with a team total of 366. Team captain, Ben Campbell ’18 shot 84, Blake Eisenberg ‘19 shot 85, captain Will Hardcastle ‘18 shot 91, followed by William Boisture ‘18, and Mason Wilderom ‘20. Ashley Siddons ’19 led the way on the girls’ varsity team with a 94, followed by Elizabeth Walsh, and captain Rebekah Coleman ‘18.
On Monday, February 26, Varsity Boys Lacrosse team played a home game against Keller. Panthers defeated Keller 12-4. Daniel Steckler ’19 and Noah Love ’20 led the scorers posting three goals each, followed by Reece Fleming ’20 with two points. Jack Love ’18, Andrew Kaleigh ’20, Reid Boisture ‘20, and Jonathan Denheyer ’18 each added a goal for the Panthers. Malcolm Downie ’21 won five face-offs. Goalkeeper Grant Carr ’18 played seven saves.
On Thursday, March 1, Varsity Boys Lacrosse took on Prosper, but fell 4-14. N. Love led the scorers for the Panthers posting two goals, followed by Geymuller and Steckler with one point each. Goalkeeper Carr played seven saves.
