Parish unveiled the newly reconditioned Panther Short Game Golf Facility during a reception honoring those who made the project possible. Special thanks were given to the Zimmerman family, the Athletic Booster Club, and Parish Alumnus Logan Klein (‘09).
Head of School Dave Monaco and Head Varsity Golf Coach Kimberly Self introduced the facility and presented Kip and Tiffiny Zimmerman with a framed Parish Golf flag and plaque for their generosity in funding the project.
The Panther Short Game Golf Facility is located on the West side of the property, outside the CDC on the other side of the wrought iron fence. Originally established in 2009 and designed by Logan Klein as a part of his Eagle Scout project, the current facility was recently reconditioned by the Zimmerman Family and The Booster Club in February 2014. The 12,000 square foot putting green was given new life with two more putting holes, 3 new tee boxes and two 10x10 hitting bays with a 20x26 foot surface. The hitting bays will provide a practice area to hit golf balls during flex time or after school, and use the new swing analysis software, which will provide a technical component to critique their swing.
