Hillcrest Campus – Dallas Private School for PreK – 2nd

Parish Episcopal School’s Hillcrest campus is a private elementary school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd-grade located in North Dallas. Our school provides a strong educational foundation for over 350 students, so they can grow academically, socially, physically, and spiritually. Parish provides a balanced and joyful learning environment for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Our teachers and staff help children create the passions and skills necessary to accomplish their goals and dreams. With numerous opportunities to safely explore their world, our students can engage and connect with lessons in a hands-on way.

Students learn inside and outside at the Beasley STEM Center in spaces like the Nauslar Garden and Fleeger Family Kitchen.

Lower School students rotate through a six-day A-F schedule that allows for enrichment activities like Art, STEM and Music.

PreK students visit the Motor Lab to work on their gross and fine motor skills.

Students attend P.E. daily and are exposed to a wide variety of fun activities.

Our PreK friends enjoy their own space during daily recess.

Engaging Every Child in the Arts, Humanities, and STEM

From the age of three, our students embrace a healthy curiosity about life and become proactive participants in the learning process. We do this through an integrated curriculum, center-oriented classrooms, and “hands-on, minds-on” activities. Our nationally recognized programs in STEM, leadership, global education, and personalization allow Parish to maximize the learning experience for our pre-k and elementary students. With a variety of enrichment classes, such as Spanish, music, computer, religion, and physical education, Parish helps build students’ individual talents and creativity.

At Parish, our Pre-K through second-grade students have weekly STEM classes in the Beasley STEM Center to support their core education and allow them to continue their exploration. This seamless approach to math and science helps Parish students develop as critical thinkers. Daily Chapel services are the center of our community life and help our students grow spiritually. Our integrated STEM, humanities, and art curriculum, along with our enrichment classes, help our students build the necessary skills to lead a healthy, balanced life.

“Hands-on” and “Minds-on” STEM Learning

The Beasley STEM lab houses seven unique open spaces, including the IQ Lab, Exploratorium, Digital Den, Learning Lounge, Innovation Station, the Fleeger Family Kitchen, and the Nauslar Garden.

We start by introducing our elementary students to working in the Nauslar Family Garden. Here, they’re asked to participate in a full growing cycle from seed cultivation to harvest. They also have access to the first hydro shed in the Dallas!

After the produce is collected, much of it is taken to our Fleeger Family Kitchen, where our students are able to develop a solid understanding of culinary basics. Both our kitchen and garden, allow students to learn using sensory play, creating healthy learning experiences.

In addition, our Exploratorium - an animal center that focuses on biology - children explore a variety of species from insects to reptiles and their habitats. The Digital Den, Learning lounge, and Innovation Station provide fun hands-on lab activities that engage our students in innovative math, science, and technology!
