Spring Break 2019 Excursion (Lisbon, Madrid & Barcelona)
Students will spend 10 days in Portugal and Spain. The first stop is Lisbon, once the capital of the world’s greatest maritime empire. Students will spend three nights unlocking the secrets of this city including St. George’s Castle and the National Palace (we may even see Ronaldo!). We then travel to the classic city of Madrid, home to grand plazas and diverse architecture. Students will practice their Spanish as we visit the Prado and have a tapas style dinner before spending time at the famous Plaza Mayor. We conclude our trip in the international city of Barcelona, home to the Sagrada Familia and Gaudi. A night stroll along Las Ramblas to the Mediterranean will cap off our week.
This opportunity is open to all students who have a curiosity for travel and adventure. The faculty leaders are Mr. Rick Dunn, Ms. Beka Johnson and Dr. Jania Hoover all of whom are experienced teachers who have led student groups throughout Europe. Our travel partner is ACIS Travel.
Spring Break: March 8 – 17, 2019
The cost of the trip will be approximately $4800. The fee includes a dedicated tour guide, airfare, hotel, two meals a day and a private tour bus.
Students will have the experience of a lifetime and will return with memories and impressions that will impact their intellectual, cultural and emotional growth..

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. – Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad
