Director of Soccer/Head Coach – Craig Savage

The Parish Episcopal Soccer Program is led by Head Coach Craig Savage who is in his 25nd year as a head coach. Coach Savage is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a 1994 graduate of Duke University. As a youth, Coach Savage played for a top club team and was a member of South Carolina’s Olympic Development team. While a varsity wrestler and club soccer player at Duke, Coach Savage earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and was named to the Iron Duke Academic All-Star Team. Coach Savage went on to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State in 2001.

 

Before coming to Parish, Coach Savage served as the Head Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams and Assistant Principal at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia. During eleven years in Atlanta, Coach Savage’s teams won two State Championships and made four Final Four appearances. He has coached players who have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional level. He was on staff with the Tophat Soccer Club and Georgia's Olympic Development Program, where he worked with players who would go onto make appearances for the US National Team. Coach Savage holds a United States Soccer Federation National "A" Coaching license.

 

Coach Savage established the varsity soccer program at Parish in 2006 and has led the Panthers to the playoffs nearly every year since, with final four appearances in 2008, 2011, and 2013 with the boys and a State Championship with the girls in 2014. In addition to directing the Parish Soccer program, Coach Savage teaches AP Biology, AP Psychology and the Psychology of Leadership.
