At what age level does Parish begin?

Parish offers a PreK 3 grade level.  This grade level is for students who have turned 3 years old by September 1st the year they would attend.  Both our PreK 3 and PreK 4 (for students who have turned 4 by September 1st) are required to attend school 5 days a week from 8:00 am – 11:45 am, but have the option of staying until 3:00 pm 0-5 days.

Will my child be interviewed as part of the application process?

Students in middle and upper school are individually interviewed during their shadow visit.

Do you have a wait list?

We have wait pools at almost every grade level.  This year, we had 75 students in the wait pool for 9th grade.  The pool is not prioritized – if we get an opening, we fill the opening based on need of the class (gender, special skill, etc.).

Do you accept or require letters of recommendation?

Letters of recommendation are required from current teacher (PK-4) or English and Math teachers (5-11.)  Additional letters from coaches, scout leaders, and others are accepted and added to the student’s file for consideration.

What kind of testing is required to apply?

PreK is by observation,  K-4 take the CATS test, 1st takes the AABL, and 2-12 take the ISEE.

Does Parish offer financial assistance for tuition?

Parish maintains a considerable financial assistance program to ensure that the most qualified candidates have the opportunity to attend Parish regardless of financial circumstances. Learn more here.
