This week the Parish Universe was busy wrapping up school business before the holiday! Enjoy …
This morning, as our Middle and Upper School students were celebrating the end of exam week by catching up on their zzzs, our Hillcrest students were getting a head start on Thanksgiving. Pre-k I through second graders were treated to feasts. The excitement was something to behold. Oh to see the world through the eyes of a child again …
But don’t mistake innocence for ignorance. Our kids know more than most of us did at their age (and we mean in a good way.) Take our fourth graders, for example. They played a circulation board game as a teaching aid to the circulatory system that we had a tough time figuring out. They seemed to know exactly how to make the five exchanges, where to drop off the white blood cells to fight infection, and how to run a red blood cell completely through the human body, however. Need more information than that? You’ll have to ask a fourth grader.

Weekend Update
|
|
Please don’t get into “vacation mode” just yet. There are several Parish activities this weekend where our kids would love your support!
Tonight, the Panther Varsity Football team takes on Arlington Grace Prep in Bi-District playoffs. The game’s at home, and kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
Tomorrow, girls and boys basketball and swimming are in action, and our fifth grade football team plays St. Thomas, at 4 p.m., at Bishop Lynch for the DPL Catholic Bowl Championship. GOOD LUCK BOYS!
