This week was all about celebration. Enjoy…
A Great Big Huge thank you to the Parents’ Association. During Teacher Appreciation Week, faculty and staff were treated to chair massages, a breakfast spread, take-home dinners and a fantastic luncheon. Wow, don’t we feel relaxed and happy!!
Close to 300 kiddos put on a Cinco de Mayo extravaganza for nearly 200 parents in the Hillcrest gym on Monday. Pre-k through 2nd graders sang, acted and beat out some crazy tunes!
Some of the 89 Upper School students who began taking AP exams this week can breathe a sigh of relief, but many will have to wait until the end of the next week when the last of the 184 tests have been taken.
Though APs and end-of-year crunch time are here, some incredibly creative juniors found time to leave their mark – with sticky notes! The senior car prank was, shall we say, transformed! (And, yes, we realize that technically there is no tradition of a “junior prank”--but it was hilarious!)
While the class of ’09 was busy celebrating their Seniordom, the Upper Elementary parents had a surprise in store for UE teachers, taking Teacher Appreciation Week to a whole new level. Click here to see what all the talk is about!
And 7th graders were celebrating one of our resident author’s success. Current parent Polly Holyoke talked to writing classes about what it takes to be a professional author, gave them some writing tips and even let them edit part of her book “Someday.” Talk about hands-on learning!
