To steal a phrase from one of our sophomores, Parish was “exploding with awesomeness” this week. Enjoy…
Our first through 12th grade students, faculty and staff gathered Tuesday for our Community’s second and final Legacy event of the year. We all piled into the Midway gym to get an abbreviated rundown on Parish’s history. We honored six remarkable ladies who have been instrumental in the School’s continued progress as well. We encourage you to talk to your children about what they carried away from the event. We’d love to know what resonated with them!
It’s that time of year when seniors and their parents eagerly begin checking mailboxes for those college acceptance letters. Every senior has made application to college for next year – spanning not only a broad range of programs and institutions, but in fact spanning the country! WHEW! We’ve got our fingers crossed and look forward to hearing the results!
Finally, Mr. Gerald Stevenson’s fourth graders were on the go as they traveled to the Scottish Rite Hospital for children. They learned about what types of services are offered, as they took a tour and ate lunch there, and came away with a much better understanding of what a valuable asset the hospital is to our community. Our Parish students are active, year-round supporters of Scottish Rite, and our next project with the hospital is centered around Valentine’s Day. We just love the way our kids eagerly embrace these opportunities to learn more about, and serve, our community – y’all should be proud of them!

We’re giving everyone Monday off in recognition of the Martin Luther King holiday. Enjoy some, most likely, much needed rest, and we’ll see ya back here on Tuesday!
