Day 3 in D.C. First stop at the Pentagon. No photos at the high security location, but plenty of information and impressive Guides. They walked through the mall-like structure but walking backwards at a normal gait and talking us through the tour. Most impressive feat: Stepping onto a down escalator backwards and never breaking stride, touching a rail or stopping a sentence.
Then the eighth-graders headed over to the 4-year-old Marine Museum. Lots of great life-like displays. Marine Gifit Shop sold lots of dog tags. Better make sure none of our kids ended up signing enlistment papers. Ooh-Rah!
