Eighth-graders arrived Monday morning for their week in Washington D.C. They visited the National Portrait Museum to view pictures and paintings of influential history makers.
Next was the Newseum covering the history and transformation of the news media. Exhibits detail coverage of many notable events. Students also get a chance to work as newscasters in a studio complete with green-screen backgrounds.
The afternoon, with a great East Coast sunset, ended with visits to the Jefferson and FDR Memorials.
