Tuition Assistance

Parish Episcopal School seeks to attract and maintain a diverse and talented student body and is committed to providing financial assistance to students who qualify.  Need-based assistance is granted on the basis of demonstrated need and the availability of funds each year.

Parish follows the guidelines of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid, a third party organization which analyzes the financial situation of applicants based on a number of factors.  It is difficult to predict whether a family will qualify for financial aid, as circumstances vary so widely and the overall demand for financial aid may vary year to year.

Financial Aid Process:

Current Parish Families:

  1. Indicate intent to apply for financial aid on Reenrollment contract and pay required tuition deposit.

  2. Submit the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online, as well as all forms listed below, by March 1, 2013. (including required tax documentation.)

  3. Financial aid awards mailed May 10, 2013.

  4. Accept financial aid award. Deadline for acceptance is one week after receipt of financial aid decision.

Prospective Families:

  1. Indicate your interest in Financial Assistance on your admission application, due by January 18, 2013.

  2. Admission decisions are sent on March 22, 2013.  This does not provide much time for you to apply for aid before the due date of April 5, so you should begin the PFS prior to receiving an admission decision.

  3. Submit all financial aid forms to SSS (School and Student Services for Financial Aid) by April 5, 2013.

  4. Financial aid awards sent May 10, 2013.

  5. Accept financial aid award.  Deadline for acceptance is one week after receipt of financial aid decision.

 Financial Aid Forms:
  1. To SSS Online: Completed SSS Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).  SSS generates a Report of Family Contribution (RFC) for Parish after analyzing the completed PFS.

  2. To SSS Online: A complete, signed copy of all 2012 Federal Income Tax Forms, including a copy of all W-2 forms and all accompanying schedules  A PFS Cover Sheet should accompany all documents mailed or uploaded to SSS. Required tax forms may be submitted online at http://sss.nais.org/parents or by mail to SSS by NAIS, Application Processing Center, P.O. Box 449, Randolph, MA 02368-0449.

  3. To Marci McLean at Parish: A completed Monthly Budget Worksheet, as well as a letter requesting assistance including your estimated monthly contribution to tuition and and explanation of  any unusual circumstances that have affected your family's financial situation this year that you would like Parish to consider. (submit by mail or email.)

  4. If a parent/guardian owns a business, a copy of all 2012 Federal Income Tax Forms and all accompanying schedules for each business owned.  A completed 2012 Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) may also be required.

  5. All information must be submitted by March 1, 2013 (Current Students) or April 5, 2013 (New Students.)
