College Day 2008 May 6, 2008 Any break from uniform days are happily welcomed at Parish, and May 1 quickly has become one of the school's favorite exemptions. For just its second graduating class, Parish seniors wear college shirts representing their university choice on the first of May, the deadline to inform colleges of a decision after receiving admission notice. We did it! 12,000 jars of peanut butter April 21, 2008 Parish delivered more than 12,000 jars of peanut butter to the North Texas Food Bank on Sunday afternoon. Parish exceeded its goal of 10,000 jars and turned in the highest total of the 10 non-profit organizations. The peanut butter drive was designed by “Oprah’s Big Give”, a nationally televised reality show to encourage sharing resources throughout communities. full story...

More Parish Holiday Happenings Dec 4, 2007 Parish Episcopal students staged the school's first annual Madrigal Dinner on Nov. 30 to begin celebration of the Advent season. The middle school choir sang and students dressed in medieval costumes performed short skits in a dinner theater setting. Congratulations Lady Panthers Nov 9, 2007 Parish came within one game of reaching the TAPPS Class 5A state final before being eliminated Friday at the state tournament at TCU’s Rickel Building. Parish (25-14) lost a back-and-forth match to Houston Second Baptist in the semifinals before the Lady Panthers’ season came to an end. Parish won the third and fourth games after falling behind 0-2. Bel Canto takes off October 2007 Parish has begun a new ensemble of select singers to form the School’s premier singing group, Bel Canto. Under the direction of Gary Gordon, Director of Upper School Music, about 30 students have taken on the primary responsibility of representing Parish at both internal school events and to the greater community. full story...
