Third Grade Tea with Teachers
Third grade parents—don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a visit with the homeroom teachers on April 16 at 10:20 am in the Large Group Meeting room. They make it a social experience while giving you an opportunity to ask your questions.

Grandparents/Special Friends Visiting Morning
We will be having a VERY special Grandparents/Special Friends Visiting Morning this year to be held on Thursday, April 24. The day begins with refreshments at 7:45 a.m., and you will follow a schedule provided by your grandchild’s homeroom teacher. The visiting time will conclude at 12:10, and upper elementary students will be dismissed at 12:15.

Legacy Event—April 7, 2008
As we continue strengthening our friendships across the grades at Parish, the third Legacy Event offers an opportunity for us to learn more about each other. We will be making a Legacy Book where every group member is going to create their own page. For the April 7 event, we ask students and faculty/staff to bring one photograph to tell their story. (Photos will not be returned home, but will stay in the Legacy Book permanently.) Examples include but are not limited to:
  • playing a favorite sport
  • involved in a favorite activity or hobby
  • creating art
  • with your pets
  • on a favorite vacation destination

Students and faculty/staff are encouraged to be creative and tell their story with their picture!

More Upcoming Events...
Dr. Csaszar invites third and fourth grade parents to come to her Coffee on April 1 at 8:10 am in the Large Group Meeting room. “What’s Ahead” is the topic, and the hour will include the following brief presentations:
  • Introduction to the Middle School and 5th grade – Becky Crawford
  • Athletics at Midway – Coach Brad Moore
  • Visual and Performing Arts – Susan Waddington
  • Introduction to 4th grade – Lynda Csaszar
  • Study Skills – Mrs. Lisa Fuchs

On April 9 second grade parents have an opportunity to meet with Dr. Csaszar at the Midway Library and learn about what’s ahead for their children in the Upper Elementary Division. Afterwards the parents are welcome to visit third grade homerooms and see what a typical class is like.

Our second graders are in for a special treat on April 18. The third graders are hosting a fun filled event with Carnival games to introduce the upcoming group to the Midway Campus and especially to our newly renovated gym area.

The Arts People Wireman is back...Seriously! The Arts People has a new tee featuring the popular Wireman. Black tees in Gal and Guy styles are available at PAWS or on EZPAY for $13 Adult, $11 Child sizes. Students will get to wear their Arts T-Shirts with their regular uniform bottoms on the Arts T-Shirt Day, Friday, April 25.

Don’t forget to join us for our annual Cultural Blast on April 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, and get a taste and feel of different cultures of the world!
