Multicultural Food and Dance: A Blast April 2008
The second annual Cultural Blast had dozens of food samples from around the world, a band, a parade, a martial arts demonstration and folk dances. If you ever wanted to see the world, Parish Episcopal was the place to be last Friday (April 4, 2008).
The Midway Campus atrium was filled with food from Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe and North and South America--and if you count ice cubes for drinks to count for Antarctica--the Committee for Cultural and Community Building covered every continent.
Among the special exhibits were Armenian weaving, silk making and Chinese Brush painting. Parish’s Fire in the Hole band of first through second graders performed as well Upper Elementary and Middle School students doing a Bhangra-Indian/Pakistani Folk Dance
