Application The application form should be completed and returned to the appropriate Admission Office (if your student is applying for grades Pre-K through 2nd grade send or deliver to the Hillcrest Campus, otherwise send or deliver the application to the Midway Campus) accompanied by the nonrefundable application fee. Applications may also be submitted online . Application fee is $100 for Pre-k through 1st Grade and $150 for all other grades. Please make checks payable to Parish Episcopal School. Parish Episcopal School also accepts the ISAAD Common Application.
Application Deadline The application deadline for all grades is Friday, January 18, 2008.
Student Questionnaire and Essay Prospective students applying for grades 5th and above must complete the Student Questionnaire and Essay in addition to the application.
Visit Scheduled Prospective students applying for grades 2nd and above are invited to visit for a half day as part of the admission process. Each visitor participates in the daily schedule. For students applying to 2nd grade and above, the Admission Office will contact you, once an application is on file, to schedule this visit. High School applicants will also have an interview during their visits.
Evaluation/ Admission Test Scheduled Pre-Kindergarten (Levels I and II) We have activities organized to help determine the child’s readiness for our school programs. Children are observed without their parents being present. Screening dates for pre-kindergarten applicants are on selected weekdays and Saturdays. Testing space is limited. The Admission Office will notify you of your evaluation date and time.Kindergarten Through 1st Grade A standardized test as well as the CATS test is required for students applying to kindergarten and 1st grades at PES. The cost of the CATS testing ($275) is not included in the application fee. Testing for CATS is conducted independently by Collaborative Academic Testing Service and the results are made available to parents. You must contact CATS directly to schedule your one-on-one testing. The standardized test will be scheduled by the Parish Admission Office, who will notify you of your standardized testing date.2nd Through 4th Grades Applicants for grades 2nd through 4th take a standardized test in reading comprehension and mathematics. The Admission Office will notify you of your testing date. If you are testing at PES there will be an additional testing fee of $50. Candidates for grades 2 - 4 may test at any ISAS school that is participating in common testing. Candidates for grades 2 - 4 may test only once for the 2008-2009 admission year. All participating schools share testing lists as a test security measure. If you are interested in registering for common testing, please complete the registration form included in this booklet.5th Grade and Above Applicants for grades 5th through 12th take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). To schedule this test, complete the ISEE registration form found in the center of the ISEE testing booklet. Return the registration form and testing fee to the ISEE Operations Office. Your student may test at any of the locations listed as test sites in the ISEE 2007-2008 Student Guide. Be sure to request that your student’s ISEE scores be sent to Parish Episcopal School. The school code for Parish Episcopal School is 447526. A student may participate in the ISEE test only once within a six-month period.

This form should be completed after December 1, 2006. The teacher will mail this form directly to Parish Episcopal School’s Admission Office. Due to the confidential nature of the teacher evaluation, it is the school’s policy not to share its contents with anyone other than the faculty and staff of Parish Episcopal School. 5th Grade and Above Have your child’s current English and mathematics teachers complete and return the PES Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form or the ISAAD Common Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form. These forms should be completed after December 1, 2007. The teachers will mail these forms directly to Parish Episcopal School’s Admission Office. Transcripts and Immunization Records Parents of applicants for kindergarten through 12th grade should request that transcripts, immunization records and test profiles be sent from the applicant’s present school to the applicable Admission Office by January 25, 2008. Please encourage your school and teachers to return their forms to Parish Episcopal School by January 25, 2008. All steps in the admission process must be completed before the applicant’s file can be forwarded to the Admission Committee for consideration.
Financial Aid The Parish Episcopal School has a financial aid program available to those families who apply through the School and Student Service for Financial Aid Program. Applications are available in the Admission Office.
