Careers at Parish
From the Head of School... I am pleased that you are considering a career at Parish Episcopal School. The faculty and staff is the core of the school. Our faculty members bring diverse talents and educational backgrounds, but they share one fundamental value – a love of working with students. We employ a blend of traditional teaching methods with state-of-the-art-technologies and progressive curricula. Our faculty are constantly challenging themselves through attendance at conferences and workshops designed to provide them with the latest in current pedagogies.
The mission of Parish Episcopal School is to provide an enriching and challenging educational experience within a Christian community of service and worship. Founded in 1972, Parish is a dynamic, coeducational, college preparatory Episcopal independent school serving approximately 1160 students (pre-kindergarten – 12th grade) on two campuses in Dallas, Texas. The School strives to uphold and model our core tenets of Wisdom, Honor and Service.
Parish values and is deeply committed to enhancing cultural and intellectual diversity among its students, faculty, and staff. We award over $1 million in financial aid annually to create a more socioeconomically diverse student body. Parish welcomes students and faculty of diverse faith traditions while embracing our Episcopal identity through daily chapel, weekly Eucharist, and religion classes. Nearly 200 students are ethnic minorities.
Although Parish has experienced dramatic growth over the past seven years, we have successfully maintained the culture of a small school. Parish works hard to make sure that every student is a recognized and valued member of our community. Our advisory program, Honor Code, daily chapels, and insistence on virtues such as civility and decency preserve the culture for which Parish is known throughout the Metroplex. As a result, students point to their relationships with faculty members and with other students at Parish as the feature they value most at this school.
I hope that you find Parish a good match for your career aspirations and encourage you to apply for any appropriate positions. I invite you to spend some time exploring our web site to learn more about our Community of Excellence.
