Campaign FAQs Why are we doing this? We MUST complete this campaign THIS YEAR. 1. For Gloria Snyder, our Head of School to fulfill the vision she created. This is her legacy. We owe it to her to complete the campaign before she retires. 2. For Parish. Parish continues to grow its programs and offerings for our students in leaps and bounds. Yet in so doing, we have quickly run out of space. We MUST finish the west wing in order to have the additional classroom space, athletic facilities, art facilities, and dedicated space for the Learning Support Program if we are to continue to serve our students well and continue to offer outstanding opportunities. Similarly we MUST move the Child Development Center to Midway we are about to lose our space at the church. If we are not in a position to support our faculty who depend on the CDC, we run the risk of losing them as well (and continuing to have outstanding faculty recruitment and retention is critical to our mission).
Do I give to the Annual Fund or the Capital Campaign? High 5ive for Phase V is what is known as a "comprehensive" campaign, which means that the goal includes all gifts, whether they are received through the unrestricted Annual Fund, as designated gifts to specific priorities within Phase V, or as general gifts to the Campaign. This year your gift will support BOTH elements (annual and capital) of the Campaign. When you fill out your campaign pledge form, enter the total amount of your gift and then designate it accordingly.
Example #1: Last year Mr. & Mrs. X gave $1,500 to the Annual Fund. This year, after learning about the importance of this Campaign, they are willing to make a special gift of $3,000. They are designating their gift as: $1,500 to the Annual Fund (to maintain their current level of giving) and a one-time gift of $1,500 to the Capital Campaign.
Example #2: Last year Mr. Y gave $1,000 to the Annual Fund. Mr. Y indicates that he will give $1,000 to the Annual Fund again this year, and he is willing to make an additional gift to support the Campaign of $5,000 if he can pledge it over time. We happily say YES! Of course you may!. Mr. Y works with the staff in the Advancement Office to develop a plan to complete his pledge over a period of time.
Example #3: Last year Ms. M gave $500 to the Annual Fund. This year she makes a stretch gift of $600. She decides to designate her gift entirely to the Annual Fund, which allows the school to allocate it to its highest priorities.
EVERY gift is important and is essential to the success of the campaign.
