Looking ahead:  Final Exam Friday 5/23, 8:30am.  (Extended time: 8:00am)

Exam Review Assignments

Part I: Self-Assessment of Important Topics, or “What was the point?”

This is probably the single most important thing you can do – it will help you organize things in your head so that the topics fall neatly into place.

          Part II: The Book Review

A tour of the book’s “Cumulative Review” sections: Make sure you know how to do all of the problems – the process of researching topics you feel uncertain about will help lock them into your brain.

Part III: My Problem Set (updated – includes all answers)

Pieced together from old tests, test review sets, quizzes, homeworks, and perhaps some things from the fall exam, this will let you do problems that are stylistically similar to what you’ve seen from me in the past.

*** Change in HW Policy ***

Beginning in Trimester 2, all homework will be graded for completeness only.  Homework completed by the start of class will count 100%; up to one weekday late will be 80%; turned in by the following class will count as 50%; after that it’s a zero.

*** Change in Warmups/Quizzes ***

Because I won’t be collecting homework, I will be lengthening the warmups slightly and counting them as Quiz grades.  This means they will no longer be open-book and open-notes.  Understanding the homework will prepare you sufficiently.

Expect these minor quizzes daily.
