Sixth Grade Students Sing at TPSMEA Honor Choir Weekend Nov 2007
The Texas Private School Music Educators Association’s (TPSMEA) Children’s Honor Choir weekend was held November 9-10 at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. Parish was represented by eight sixth-grade students.
Students selected for the event were chosen by their choir director, Mr. Gregory Whitmore, based on their commitment to choir and their willingness to learn difficult and challenging music. More than 100 fifth and sixth grade students from across Texas participated in the Children’s Honor Choir weekend. Students worked with clinician Nina Revering, Children’s Choir Director of the renowned Austin-based ensemble Conspirare. A concert was presented by the students at the conclusion of the weekend.
